Manage individual Permissions

  • In addition to role-derived permissions, GSI2 allows configuration of specific individual permissions for each user. This guide describes how to view, add, and manage permissions at the individual user level, including special permissions like Live Client access and Document Manager rights.

    Permission Core Concepts

    • Role Permissions: Automatically inherited from assigned roles (orange checkboxes)
    • Individual Permissions: Directly assigned to the user (blue checkboxes)
    • Cumulative Permissions: Roles + individual always add up
    • Dependencies: Some permissions automatically activate others (highlighted in yellow)

    Permission Checkbox Color Legend

In the permissions configuration panel, checkboxes use different colors to indicate the origin of permissions:

    • Orange: Permissions derived from assigned role (cannot be modified at individual level)
    • Yellow: Permissions automatically derived from other permissions (dependencies)
    • Blue: Individual/single assignments set directly

    1. Identify if permission comes from role (orange) or individual (blue)
    2. If individual: uncheck box and save
    3. If from role: consider removing/changing the role

    Critical Permissions and Security

    High-Risk Permissions

    Permission Impact Recommendation
