Notifications

  • Introduction

The GSI2 notification system provides a comprehensive framework for managing automated communications across the entire platform. This module enables administrators and authorized users to configure when and how to receive alerts about important events occurring in the system, ensuring that critical information reaches the right people at the right time.

Notifications in GSI2 are not just simple alerts: they represent an intelligent communication system that integrates with all platform modules, from attendance monitoring to document management, from ticketing to CRM. Every significant event can be configured to generate customized notifications through different communication channels.

    Main Functions

    Configuration Modes

The system offers two distinct operational modes for managing notifications (depending on set permissions):

    • SINGLE Mode: Individual configuration that allows customizing notifications for individual users. Administrators can select a specific user from the dropdown menu and configure their notification preferences granularly.
    • BULK Mode: Mass configuration that applies the same settings to all selected users or the entire organization. Particularly useful for implementing uniform company policies or during initial system setup.

    Available Notification Channels

GSI2 supports four distinct communication channels, each with specific characteristics:

    • Push in GSI: In-app notifications that appear directly in the GSI2 interface. A red badge on the bell icon indicates the presence of unread notifications.
    • E-mail: Automatic sending of emails to the user's company mailbox with customizable templates and direct links to the relevant items in GSI2.
    • Browser notification: Desktop notifications that appear even when GSI2 is in the background, subject to browser authorization.
    • SMS: Optional channel for critical events requiring immediate attention, requires mobile number configuration.

    Configuration States

For each type of notification, the system provides three possible states:

    • OFF: The notification is disabled and the user will not receive any alerts for the specific event.
    • ON: The notification is active and the user can independently modify this setting from their preferences.
    • ON BY ADMIN: The notification is activated by the administrator and cannot be disabled by the user. Used for critical or mandatory notifications per company policy.

    Configuration Best Practices

    For Administrators

    • Use "ON BY ADMIN" only for critical notifications that must not be disabled
    • First configure notifications in BULK mode to establish a company baseline
    • Then customize with SINGLE mode for specific role or user needs
    • Test configurations with a pilot group before full rollout
    • Document company notification policies for future reference

    For Users

    • Enable only notifications relevant to your role to avoid information overload
    • Use email for important events requiring traceability
    • Activate push notifications for urgencies requiring immediate action
    • Periodically verify settings to keep them aligned with your needs
